U.S. stocks fell on Tuesday after a mixed batch of earnings reports, while a
plunge in deposits of regional lender First Republic Bank stoked concerns about
the banking sector.  .N

33,795.65. The S&P 500  .SPX  was down 0.69% at 4,108.66 and the Nasdaq
Composite  .IXIC  was down 0.83% at 11,937.366.
